Foo Fighters Renew Westboro Baptist Church Trolling, Disco Style!

The Dee Gees made a special appearance before the Foo Fighters show at Azua Amphitheater!

Dave Grohl and company once again fought hate with humor in order to counter-protest the small handful of Westboro Baptist Church members that picketed the concert on Thursday evening.

Foo Fighters donned their Dee Gees disco outfits from their recent Record Store Day release Hail Satin and hopped aboard a flatbed pickup to address the protestors. Here’s what Dave Grohl had to say:

“Alright now, ladies and gentlemen, I got something to say. Because you know what, I love you. I do! The way I look at it, is that I love everybody. Isn’t that what you’re supposed to do? Can’t you just love everybody? Cos I think it’s about love! That’s what I think, we’re all about love. And you shouldn’t be hating, you know what you should be doing? You should be dancing!”

And then the Dee Gees covered the Bee Gees’ “You Should Be Dancing” before driving away.

Foo Fighters now have a storied history of trolling WBC dating back a decade. Remember the homo-erotic trucker vibes of “Keepin’ It Clean In KC”?

And in 2015, Foo Fighters “rick-rolled’ the WBC with a cover of Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up”.
